Frequently Asked Questions
Will I always see the same dentist?
We have two dentists in our clinic, Mishari and Kathryn. We will always try to get you with the same dentist every time you visit.
Do you accept all health funds?
We welcome all health funds, but are not preferred providers for any. We are an independent practice, and all quotes and fees are individually tailored. You may like to read about the Australian Dental Associations’s Time To Switch campaign for more information on health funds.
We have HICAPs so your health fund can be processed on the spot, and EFTPOS facilities for the gap payment.
Do you have finance options?
What if I don’t have a health fund?
We have EFTPOS facilities and also accept cheques.
Are you expensive?
We base our fees on the Australian Dental Association’s average fee guide. We pride ourself on our quality and attention to detail and so charge accordingly. Every person is different and to be able to give you the most accurate quote and the most appropriate treatment, we take our time getting to know you and will never rush you.
We welcome you to come in for a full check-up: prices start at $169 for a new patient.
When should I bring my child for their first dental appointment?
We love treating children and starting them off on a positive dental journey. The younger you can take your child to the dentist, the better. It gives them time to get used to the surroundings and the dentist, and also helps us spot any issues before they become a big problem.
Aim to bring your child when the first tooth erupts or by their 1st birthday (whichever comes first).

Can you improve my smile?
Everyone deserves a beautiful smile. Depending on what you are looking to achieve, we can provide tooth whitening, veneers, crowns and implant crowns, dentures and natural-looking white fillings. Look at our services to see more.
We also have great orthodontic colleauges that we can refer you to if you would like straighter teeth.
Do you have parking?
Unfortunately not. We find the easiest way to access us is by public transport (or bike or scooter!). See our how to find us section.
The closest car park to us is the Uptown Car park. You are able to pre-book online. Otherwise there are also taxi ranks nearby.
What can I expect on my first visit?
A comprehensive examination includes:
- Getting you know you, your needs and wants
- How your general health may be impacting your oral health, and vice versa
- Screening of your soft tissues (gums, tongue, palate, cheeks, lips etc) for any signs of disease or oral cancer
- Checking the health of your gums around your teeth
- Checking the teeth
- Further investigations/tests, which may include x-rays
- Sometimes we have to refer you to radiology for a full mouth dental x-ray
Once all this information has been collected, your bespoke treatment plan will be created. You will be given all the pros/cons and alternate treatments and associated costs.
