Dentistry On George is owned by husband and wife team Mishari and Kathryn who bought the practice from Dr Parry in 2018. Dr Parry had been practising in Brisbane for over 40+ years and had built a loyal patient base. Patients would seek him out from far and wide for his high standards. He was well respected, trusted and liked. Mishari and Kathryn have carried on Dr Parry’s legacy of quality, consistency and high standards, while modernising and growing the practice.
Dr Mishari Al-Dhafeeri

Mishari has been working in dental practice since 2009. He is passionate about dentistry and is constantly improving and updating his skills. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 after which he gained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (Glasgow). He followed this up by completing a Certificate of Competency in Dental Implantology at the Cambridge Academy of Implantology in 2014.

His major passion has always been prosthodontics: replacement of missing and broken down teeth, oral rehabilitation, dentures and implant restorations. He studied a Masters in Prosthodontics at the world-renowned King’s College London in 2014. After 4 years of hard work he completed the course with merit. This has brought a whole new dimension to the range and standard of work he carries out. His philosophy is to bring things back to nature, which means creating beautifully sculped natural fillings, replacing missing teeth to return to proper chewing function and brightening smiles. His work is always backed by the latest up-to-date research, and being a perfectionist we will always make sure you are happy with your treatment before you leave. He puts patients and their needs first and treats everyone as he would his own family.
Mishari loves the variety and complexity that working in dental practice brings. He previously worked as a clinical supervisor at the University of Queensland where he enjoyed teaching and watching his students grow into competent, confident clinicians. However, he gave this up to fully focus on building the practice. Mishari is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Dental Association and Australian Prosthodontic Society.
Mishari moved to Brisbane from the UK in 2015 with his wife Kathryn, and immediately fell in love with the active, outdoor lifestyle. He gets very excited to see any native Australian wildlife (even snakes and spiders, but mostly the cute cuddly kind) and loves travelling to explore new areas.
Dr Kathryn Al-Dhafeeri

Kathryn qualified as a dentist from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and gained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons from Edinburgh in 2010. She has worked in both hospital and general practice, however, loves the feeling of community and developing long-term relationships in general practice.
Kathryn loves the medical and psychological aspects of dentistry. She is currently studying for a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Conscious Sedation and Pain Control) at the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of Queensland. With over 15 years of working with anxious patients, Kathryn makes sure her patients are fully informed and feel relaxed throughout their dental treatment.

Building on her love of health, Kathryn is also very interested in dental sleep medicine and is a member of the Australasian Sleep Association. She gets great pleasure out of improving patient’s quality of life by helping with their snoring and sleep apnoea. Kathryn is also registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Dental Association.
In her spare time, she loves reading (historical fiction and anything medical!) and spending time outdoors especially trying her hand at growing veggies.
Georgie
Front Office / Client Happiness Manager
Georgie has been with Dentistry on George for around 2 years. It was her first job in the dental industry, and to this role she has brought with her a breadth of knowledge and experience. Georgie holds a Bachelor of Arts – majoring in Criminology and Art History from the University of Queensland. She has studied electives in Ancient History, Spanish, English Literature and Geography, which makes for great conversations while patients are waiting for their dental appointments! Georgie loves listening to our patient’s stories about their families, careers, and travels, and thrives by being part of a high performing team, that respects and encourages each other.

As Front Office Manager Georgie is responsible for all front of house operations. She trains new receptionists and is critical in providing our patients with a great experience. For those who have met her, you will know that her energy and enthusiasm are infectious! She also keeps us healthy with morning stretches, herbal teas, meditation, and stress reduction techniques.
Georgie is originally from Blackpool which is a coastal town just outside of Manchester in the North West of England. After having moved to Brisbane in Feb 2016 to study at UQ, she just couldn’t face going back to the cold weather! We are so glad she stayed!
Silvia
Clinical Office Manager
Silvia brings a wealth of dental assisting knowledge and experience to Dentistry On George. She has worked in the industry for over 15 years and has been with us for around 11 years.
She loves her job in dentistry as she has a passion for health. Silvia worked in the food and nutrition industry back in Chile before she moved to Australia many years ago. She loves meeting different people every day and finds it rewarding that she can contribute to improving the quality of our patient’s lives. Her passion for health care and helping people shines through in her gentle and caring ways, and she always makes sure her patients are comfortable and well cared for.

Silvia is our Clinical Office Manager, which means that not only does she assist our dentists, but she trains new dental assistants and oversees all the back of house operations, from infection control to stock control. Silvia is an avid lover of the environment and keeps us right with our recycling and waste reduction strategies. She also provides training on keeping our plants alive to those who are not so green fingered!
When she’s not working, she loves bushwalking, trekking, going to the gym and meeting up with friends for coffee. She is also a keen knitter!
