Our vision is that every dental experience is a positive one. For too long people have been anxious about visiting the dentist, but with new technologies and a relaxing, trusting environment this can be a thing of the past. Our ultimate goal is for every patient who visits us to leave smiling. We will never rush you and always make sure you are cared for to the highest standard. Our mission is providing you with the best quality available and always striving for the best outcome.
Dentistry On George is owned by husband and wife team Mishari and Kathryn who bought the practice from Dr Parry in 2018. Dr Parry had been practising in Brisbane for over 40years and had built a loyal patient base. Patients would seek him out from far and wide for his high standards. He was well respected, trusted and liked. Mishari and Kathryn have carried on Dr Parry’s legacy of quality, consistency and high standards, while modernising and growing the practice.
Our enthusiastic and friendly team will be with you every step of the way through your dental journey – whether we just see you once or twice a year, or you are undergoing extensive treatment. Our passionate staff go above and beyond, ensuring that your comfort and health always come first.
Mishari has been working in dental practice since 2009. He is passionate about dentistry and is constantly improving and updating his skills. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 after which he gained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (Glasgow). He followed this up by completing a Certificate of Competency in Dental Implantology at the Cambridge Academy of Implantology in 2014.
His major passion has always been prosthodontics: replacement of missing and broken down teeth, oral rehabilitation, dentures and implant restorations. He studied a Masters in Prosthodontics at the world-renowned King’s College London in 2014. After 4 years of hard work he completed the course with merit. This has brought a whole new dimension to the range and standard of work he carries out. His philosophy is to bring things back to nature, which means creating beautifully sculped natural fillings, replacing missing teeth to return to proper chewing function and brightening smiles. His work is always backed by the latest up-to-date research, and being a perfectionist we will always make sure you are happy with your treatment before you leave. He puts patients and their needs first and treats everyone as he would his own family.
Mishari loves the variety and complexity that working in dental practice brings. He previously worked as a clinical supervisor at the University of Queensland where he enjoyed teaching and watching his students grow into competent, confident clinicians. However, he gave this up to fully focus on building the practice.
Mishari is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of both the Australian Dental Association and the Australasian Sleep Association.
Mishari moved to Brisbane from the UK in 2015 with his wife Kathryn, and immediately fell in love with the active, outdoor lifestyle. He gets very excited to see any native Australian wildlife (even snakes and spiders, but mostly the cute cuddly kind) and loves travelling to explore new areas.
After studying biomedical science and working in medical research, Betty graduated with first class honours in Dentistry from the University of Queensland. Betty is passionate about creating an atmosphere of comfort and fostering positive relationships with all her patients. Betty endeavours to provide the highest quality of care and has meticulous attention to detail. She has a special interest in children’s dentistry, extractions, root canals and crown and bridge work.
She joined the Dentistry on George team mid-2020 and continues to provide care for our existing and new patients to the same high standards that we are known for.
When Betty is not working, she enjoys trying her hand at new baking recipes, going on bush walks and spending time with her puppy Peanut.
Silvia brings a wealth of dental assisting knowledge and experience to Dentistry On George. She has worked in the industry for over 13 years and has been with us for around 9 years.
She loves her job as a dental assistant as she has a passion for health. Silvia actually worked in the food and nutrition industry back in Chile before she moved to Australia many years ago. She loves meeting different people every day and finds it rewarding that she is able to contribute to improving the quality of our patient’s lives. Her passion for health care and helping people shines through in her gentle and caring ways, and she always makes sure her patients are comfortable and well cared for.
Silvia assists Mishari and Betty in the clinic part-time. When she’s not working, she loves bushwalking, trekking, going to the gym and meeting up with friends for coffee. She is also a keen knitter!
Kathryn qualified as a dentist from Glasgow University in 2008 and gained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons from Edinburgh in 2010. She has worked in both hospital and general practice, but loves the feeling of community and developing long-term relationships in general practice. She gave up practising dentistry in 2018 to focus on business management and is now involved in the running and managing of the practice.
She loves working in a patient centred practice, where everyone is treated as an individual. In her spare time, she loves to volunteer and do anything outdoors – her early morning runs are her favourite!
This is Georgie’s first job in the dental industry, however she brings with her a breadth of experience and knowledge which she applies so well to her role as Dental Receptionist. Georgie holds a Bachelor of Arts – majoring in Criminology and Art History from the University of Queensland. She has studied electives in Ancient History, Spanish, English Literature and Geography, which makes for great conversations while patients are waiting for their dental appointments! Georgie loves listening to our patient’s stories about their families, careers and travels, and thrives by being part of a high performing team, that respects and encourages each other. She enjoys training to help enhance our patient’s dental experience and is especially proud of her First Aid and CPR certificate!
Georgie works part-time at Dentistry On George while studying for a law degree. She is also a member of Rotaract and in fact met Kathryn through Rotary. She is originally from Blackpool which is a coastal town just outside of Manchester in the North West of England. After having moved to Brisbane in Feb 2016 to study at UQ, she just couldn’t face going back to the cold weather! We are so glad she stayed!
Hayden is used to giving a first class service after working as a first and business class flight attendant for over four years. However, after underoing some of his own dental work, his interest in dentistry was sparked! Hayden’s empathetic and caring nature really shines through when he’s looking after our patients both in his front desk role and as a dental assistant. He loves being a part of our patient’s dental journey and seeing them leave the practice with a smile. Did you know that Hayden has travelled to 42 destinations across the world and is currently learning to speak Italian – test him next time you’re in the practice!
We’re located in the heart of Brisbane CBD, at the corner of George Street and Queen street. Enjoy easy public transport links, on-street parking and carparks nearby.
